AWR! has resumed its rain barrel program at the Blue Heron Homecoming Festival Friday, June 17, 2022. Due to limited quantities, rain barrels are only available by voucher for the first 200 families that attend the festival. Rain barrels will be available for pick up at Lock 3, Wednesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm.

To pick up your barrel:

Be mindful that you are entering an area with pedestrians walking around the children’s museum.

Enter the alleyway at Lock 3 off of S. Main Street near Canal Park. This entrance is right next to State Street, and can sometimes be difficult to notice. You will drive down a narrow corridor. Please drive carefully. Do not enter off of S. Main Street near University Ave where there is a locked, black gate.

Park your car under the bridge and do not block the doors that lead to the putt-putt area or children's museum.

Walk to concessions and notify the attendant you are there to redeem your rain barrel. You MUST present your voucher to redeem.

Please note: you will NOT be able to pick up your rain barrel on the following dates:

July 1-3 and 25 & 26

Aug 4-6 and 27

Sept 2-3
