Cycle 10 of the All-Akron Student Engineering Program (AASEP) is underway! The students met at the University of Akron on February 8, 2025 for Session 1 from 9:30 am to 3 pm where they spent the morning getting to know each other and networking. After a brief intro to resumes, the students ate lunch and spent the afternoon in groups completing our tower challenge. 

We had five project leads who spent a majority of their lunch networking to find their teams. Teams needed to consist of media and branding, researchers, and technicians. These teams needed to build a tower that was not only tall but aesthetically pleasing, while creating a brand around their tower and giving an overview of how they got to their final product in a group presentation. They were scored on their presentations, the research that went into their tower and the branding behind it. The final items scored were the height of the tower and the beauty. 

The students did an exceptional job coming together and outlining all steps taken to get to their final build.
