Elaine, our Tunnel Boring Machine for the Northside Interceptor Tunnel, completed her Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in September 2024 at the Herrenknecht manufacturing facility in Germany. The FAT involved a comprehensive series of rigorous tests to confirm that all key components were functioning as designed, and to allow any final adjustments to be made at the factory. After the FAT, Elaine was disassembled to prepare for her journey across the Atlantic and is set to arrive in Akron in late November.
